Confession: I am overly organized... and I may or may not be driving my bridal party crazy.
Let's hope not, though. Seeing as we have 9 months to go before the wedding & all...
Anyhow, my overly organized self made these bridesmaid packets for my ladies.
Most of the girls do not know each other, so I wanted to give a brief background on how we met & who they are. And then, since I am having them pick out their own dresses, I wanted to be clear on the color/length the dress should be.
All of the ladies should have gotten these in the mail by now, so I'm sharing with you in case you want to do something similar for your upcoming wedding.
The packet consisted of:
-"Thank you" cover insert
-Blank white cover
-"Attire" insert giving them the color palette
their dress should be in & inspiration
-"The six of you" insert, describing how each of us met
-"Details + Expectations" insert, listing important dates &
events they are required to attend as a bridesmaid.
-Blank kraft back cover
I rounded all of the corners & then tied it together with bakers twine.
I got this idea from a blog, but now that I put it all together, I can't find the link. Also, a friend of mine that got married a few years ago did something similar to this.
Did you do some kind of information packet for your bridesmaids? I was hesitant to just send it via e-mail, but I think snail mail is much more personal.

ReplyDeleteThese are GREAT! Some people called me "Bridezilla"... I just saw myself as extremely organized. My girls' itineraries pretty much told them when to breathe - LOL :) ...But to my credit, my wedding day went by smoothly and flawlessly without a lot of extra added stress caused by disorganization. So kudos to you!!! Can't wait to see/hear about more wedding details. CHEERS!
ReplyDeleteThese are darling! What a great idea! Wish I'd thought of that when I got married. There should probably be an "over-organizers anonymous" club. My mom once said she thought she was really organized and then she saw what I did and realized I'm even more organized! It's an illness, but a good one;)
ReplyDeleteHow awesome!! I wish I would have done this. My wedding party got a little out of control. Then again, nothing went wrong the day of the wedding, so I can't complain much! lol. BTW, my 2nd grade teacher was Mrs. Gardner. You reminded me of her! :)
